About us: a dispatch desk with a soft spot for the trade

Updated October 2026

What we do

TruckEver is a truck dispatch service. We work for owner-operators and small fleets across the US: we look for loads that fit your truck and your lanes, negotiate the rate with the broker, handle the broker calls and check calls, and keep the paperwork moving so you can get paid.

That is the whole business. We're not a truck maker or dealer, a CDL school, an employer, a museum or an event organizer, and we aren't affiliated with any company, artist or show mentioned in our guides. We don't own trucks, and we don't hire drivers.

The rules we run the desk by

Some things we decided before the first load, and they don't change from carrier to carrier.

  • You confirm every load. We find and negotiate. You say yes or no. The broker sends the rate confirmation straight to you, and turning a load down costs you nothing.
  • No forced dispatch. If a load doesn't fit your truck, your hours or your plans, it doesn't go on your truck.
  • 26 ft box trucks and up. That is our smallest truck. We don't dispatch smaller boxes, cargo vans or sprinters.
  • Eleven kinds of equipment, treated the same: 26 ft box trucks, hotshots, dry vans, reefers, flatbeds, step decks, power only, car haulers, dump trucks, oversize and heavy haul, and hazmat and tankers.
  • Prices in writing, from day one.
  • 7% of gross: Authority under 6 months, any truck
  • 7% of gross: 26 ft box trucks and hotshots, always
  • 4% of gross: 2 or more trucks, authority 6+ months (limited-time fleet rate)
  • 5% of gross: 1 truck, authority 6+ months
  • No setup fee, no minimums, month-to-month, 30 days notice to cancel. The fee applies only to loads you haul.

Our pricing page shows the math on real-looking example loads, and how it works walks through every step from the first call to payday.

The desk

Dispatch desk: open 24/7, nights and weekends. A dispatcher answers when you call or message, and every load we bring you comes with the rate, the miles and the pickup time before you decide. We'll share names and photos of the people behind the desk here as the team is introduced; we won't put made-up faces or titles on this page.

We also don't publish testimonials, carrier counts or revenue claims we can't back up. When we show a load, a week or a rate, it is either labeled EXAMPLE or it comes from our own real loads with the date and no broker or driver names.

Why a dispatch service writes about trucks and culture

Because we love this trade, and because people deserve straight answers about it.

Most of the folks who'll one day need a dispatcher start somewhere else: a kid asking why a truck has 18 wheels, a driver wondering what OTR life is really like, a company driver pricing out a truck of their own. Our Trucks 101 guides answer those questions in plain words, our free tools turn rate, fuel and hours questions into numbers, and the trucker lingo dictionary keeps CB talk alive.

Every statistic, rule and record in those pages comes from a named source, with a pin you can tap for the publisher, year and link. Songs, movies and podcasts are credited to their creators, and we don't reprint lyrics. If we can't source something, it doesn't go on the page.

Who writes the guides

Our guides, tools and lingo pages are written and edited by Evan Davidson. His author page explains how he researches and checks a page. We list experience and credentials there only as they're confirmed, never as filler.

Our editorial policy covers how sources are chosen and how to send a correction, and our disclosure page explains the partners we may earn a referral fee from.

Talk to us

The quickest way to start dispatch is the application. It takes a couple of minutes, and a dispatcher calls you back to talk through your truck and lanes. For anything else, use our contact page, or browse the FAQ first; most questions about fees, contracts and paperwork are answered there.
